It has been about 2 months since I last wrote anything on the blog. I appologize. After some of my health concerns were taken care of, my schedule went crazy and I’ve been trying to play catch up. So, I had to take a hiatus. I’m hoping to start posting regularly again soon.

If I remember right from last summer, I did a post every two weeks to talk about the general flavor of the weather for the next two weeks. That worked, but I would like to be a little more detailed than that without stressing me out. I think also as memory serves, I would write about the big holidays. I may be able to do all this during the summer as I have some long stretches of vacation coming up.

I also plan on getting the podcast up and running. My router suddenly took a dive in power, so now I can take my laptop to a quiet room to record and upload the file. I’m a little more rooted in one room, and my family life gets a little crazy for me to do the recordings. I hope to have that remedied soon.

Also, I made some changes to the twitter feed by pointing it at Iowa State University’s met departments IEM site where it is easier to tailor the feed, and if you see something was active, you can go back and see what was issued during an event. This is great as I saw the NMIRECWX Twitter feed pumping out Storm Reports last night with the heavy rain we received.

I added a Plurk account. Now that Facebook has business/fan pages that look like regular friend pages and Ping.fm supports the updates, I will be adding that as well. I love Ping.fm, because I can update once and it goes everywhere.

So keep watching…
