3-5 day weather mapsIf you followed the weather for Northern Michigan this last week, then you know that we had an area of low pressure that moved over the region and brought rain and high winds. While the rain is possible again, the wind probably won’t as the low this weekend will move over from the southwest instead of the northwest. With the low moving over the region, temperatures will be in the mid 50s. The color will be getting better, but this won’t help the color tour. The hunting will be chilly and damp, but in the woods, the wind shouldn’t be a factor for the arrows flying. I’ll have more on Thursday with the podcast.

weather maps for weekendI do this for my hunting friends. It is looking damp for next weekend. Low pressure approaches the region on Friday, bringing showers and warming things up. Saturday, the temperatures cool as the cold front moves through with more showers. Sunday, the low is still over the region. more showers. The temperatures maybe a little warmer than Saturday. So for the first weekend of Bow Season, it look damp and cool.

NWS Weather story Saturday Autumn is almost upon us. From what the NWS Gaylord office says, it looks like this storm system will usher in the cooler temperatures that we would expect. The normal high temperatures for this time of year are in the mid 60s and we have been running in “summer like” weather for the past few weeks. Well, with this storm system we will fall below normal. High temperatures during the week will be in the 50s, before rebounding into the 60s by the end of the week. This will lead us to the weekend so that we are at or slightly above normal for the next weekend.

It is expected to be windy this week, so hopefully we won’t lose too many leaves.

Weather story from Friday morningI looked at the forecast and now it looks better than it did yesterday. While today is a little chillier than expected, and there is still a chance for rain showers on Saturday. However, now Sunday is looking drier with high temperatures in the lower 70s. The NWS Gaylord has all of the details and a mighty fine graphic. I’m going up to Indian River soon to be outdoors so have fun this weekend!!
